About the Event

Hi all,

We're rapidly approaching the end of 2026 already. As we do we have a planting program to complete and a seasonal reminder that the weeds are making their move also. On both fronts we're fairly well prepared with a large 75 x 25m revegetation site being prepared now for October planting (see image).

In the meantime we continue to work on reducing the amount of Serrated Tussock at Ashmore. Seedlings of ST are emerging now on a mown slope and that is what we are going to concentrate on this Sunday. I should add that the population has already been substantially reduced but it is going to take a bit to deplete the remaining seedbank remaining in the soil.

I'll bring tools and morning tea. Suggest you wear shoes/boots and maybe long trousers to avoid some mosquito traffic.

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Cheers,
