April Spring Creek Valley Working Bee

Hi all,

Great to see some rain at last.

As expected, it's not only the good plants that are growing but the weeds also. We'll continue to target Gorse seedling regrowth at the top of the gully area.

Our mid-week working bees have already stitched up a large amount of regrowth down at the bottom end of the gully and along the toe of the hill. It all just means that we're gradually depleting the seed bank in the soil with no adults present to produce anymore seed.

If possible, bring some secateurs and gloves as we'll be cutting and painting the stems with roundup. I will have the dabbers, a couple of spare sets of secateurs and a few other tools for those that need them.
